*Dr. "Nightingale" enters his room and looks around. A queen-sized bed was against the left wall, next to it was a small dresser with a medium-sized mirror built into it. Against the right wall was an office desk and chair. A desk lamp, telephone, and computer decorated the desk, along with various other office supplies. There was a large bookshelf on either side of his desk, each one filled with countless books. There was a table and kitchenette in the back, along with a door leading to a small bathroom. There was a clock mounted above his doorway.*

*Nightingale sits at his desk and turns the computer on.  He takes out a key and unlocks a drawer on the right side of his desk, pulling it open to reveal files on several S.C.P.'s. He pulls out a few and closes the drawer, laying the files across the desk in front of him. He looks at the computer screen and types in his password. He opens a file and leaves it on the screen. He opened the files on his desk, taking out documents for S.C.P's 053 and 239, along with Incident Report 239-B and Supplemental Report 239-B-192. Nightingale flips the desk lamp on, sighing as he reads over the documents. The rest of the room is dark save for the desk lamp and the bright computer screen.*

*Nightingale jolted awake, looking around. He realized he must have fallen asleep in his chair last night. He rubbed his face with his hands, leaning back in his chair. He put the papers back in their respective folders before placing them back in the drawer, closing it and locking it tight. He looked at the computer screen and then at the clock above his door. Nightingale typed in his password again, re-opening the files on the computer and closing them. He got up and went in the kitchenette, looking for the coffee-maker.*
"Rise and shine, Nightingale." He muttered to himself.

*Nightingale sits in his chair, staring at his computer screen as he took another pawn from the digital chessboard. He smiled as the computer's knight moved forward, taking the white pawn that had just eliminated its' evil twin.*
"Good move." He said to the computer, right before moving one of his bishops and taking the knight.

*Over the past few minutes, Nightingale had slowly reduced the computer's chess pieces until there were three pawns, a rook, a knight, and the king and queen left. He moved his queen forward, taking one of the pawns. The computer took a moment to plan its' strategy, moving the knight in front of the king to defend it.*
"On the defense now?" He laughs, "That wont save you."

*With the rook, pawns, knight, and queen gone, the computer admitted defeat with its' king in check. Nightingale leaned back in his chair, smiling.*
"Check. And. Mate. Four times in a row. That's a new record. For me at least."

*Nightingale takes another swallow of coffee, holding his head in his human left hand, his coffee mug in his robotic right hand. He hadn't been sleeping well for the past couple of days, since the incident in the lounge, to be exact. He muttered something to himself before taking another drink.*

*Nightingale sits at his desk, a screwdriver in his left hand. He carefully adjusts a couple of screws on his robotic hand before holding it in front of him. The hand and wrist spin completely around before stopping, palm up. Nightingale looks at his hand and smiles.*
    "Perfect."

*Hydraulics whirring, Nightingale's robotic hand flips through another page in the packet he had on his desk. Nightingale was reading over the papers that had been given to him at the meeting he attended a short time ago.*

*Nightingale opens the top drawer on the left side of his desk, a couple packs of pencils and pens rattling as he opened a small container and fished out a pair of earplugs. He closed the drawer and quietly put the plugs in his ears. Nightingale sighed and smiled as the noise that passed for music coming from a room a few doors down from his was muted.*

*Dr. "Nightingale" walks down the hallway, returning from a one month transfer to Site 17. He unlocks his room's door and steps inside, closing it behind him. Nightingale looks around his housing before sitting down at his desk, flicking on the light and smiling.*
"It's great to be back." He said.

*Looking at a file on his desk, Nightingale stares at the papers inside the folder before leaning back in his chair. It had been one interesting day, with Angel kicking down the door to the psychiatrists office. Not that it surprised him or anything, she was extremely unpredictable according to her telephone book-sized file. Hell of a first day for the new guy, too. Then the guy from the Ethics Committee had to make a scene over a busted door, something only Ethics could do. Of course, he would never say that out loud.*
"Oh well. At least it wasn't my door."
