    Dr. Deric Richards' Room

    Post by O.W. on Fri 30 Aug 2013, 22:46

(OOC: This is a room template for active users on the site. you may furnish it as you please, just don't go to the extremes. Thank you and have a nice day.)

Gears had mentioned nothing more about anything he had said in the hospital, and Iceberg had found himself deluged with paperwork and solo testing. He had barely spoken to or seen anyone for nearly two days, and finally decided a little investigation might break up the tedium. It took only a little prodding to find what he was looking for, but it took more time to process:

"As you are now, so once was I
As I am now, soon you shall be -
    Prepare yourself to follow me."

Iceberg sat alone in the deepest bowels of the underground site, surrounded by mounds of neatly typed records of horrors and atrocities, and tried very hard not to feel cold.

Deric enters his room, exhausted from the day's events. He surveys his room carefully, making sure everything is how he left it. He sees his standard double bed, his waist high book self, his personal desktop computer, his modest television set, along with his nightstand, covered in his prescription pills. He takes one before laying down in bed, turning on music to relax.

Deric jumps awake at the sound of an alarm, "████, what's going on?"
He peaks his head out of his door to be nearly deafened by a loud female voice speaking in a monotone voice via the intercom, WARNING. SITE LOCKDOWN INITIATED. PLEASE MOVE TO DESIGNATED AREAS. ALL THOSE NOT FOUND IN PROPER LOCATIONS WILL BE REPRIMANDED. ALL D-CLASS PERSONNEL FOUND OUT OF HOLDING AREAS WILL BE TERMINATED.
Richards sighs and steps back into his room, sitting in a small rolling chair he keeps in his room for late night working. He turns on another song before pulling out a small flask from a hidden compartment in his desk. He turns it over in his hands and runs his thumb over the Crown Royal label. He takes a small glass from his cabinet. He pours himself a glass, sipping the liquid before taking what appears to be another prescription pill. He leans his head back and quietly hums with the music playing before him.

Over the intercom Doctor LOC's voice is heard in Richard's room, "Richard you there just checking up I want you to stay in your room some of the interior guards say there is an insurgent loose so look out okay pal take care and don't drink to much okay." LOC laughs over the intercom and it goes silent.

Richards turns down the music only so he may speak for a moment, "I'm all good Doc. I can sit tight as long as you want me to. Just ring me up again when the lockdown is over."

Richards rises from his chair once more. He places his flask back into it's original place and turns off his music. He walks out of his room to find the lockdown over. He walks back into his room to grab his lab coat, making sure to clip his ID card to it before leaving. He stops in from his mirror to straighten his coat and fix his hair before finally leaving the room for the last time today.
